I’m the face behind all the creations at Grey Snail Press. Since opening on Etsy in 2012, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients all over the country from my small-town Kentucky studio, creating custom designs for everyday moments and life’s biggest celebrations.
My style features lots of hand lettering, modern calligraphy, hand-drawn illustrations, florals, and plenty of watercolor elements. I’m crazy about new and interesting color combinations, but most of all, I love collaborating with you to create custom designs that bring your vision to life and totally capture your personality.
From celebrations to corporate identities, my passion is helping you tell your story.
"I am most passionate about collaborating with my clients to tell their story, whether it’s for their wedding or corporate identity."
Since I was a little girl, I have loved art, drawing pictures nearly every single day. I also spent a good portion of my PR classes in college hand lettering and doodling all over my planner and notes. My brain has always craved a creative outlet, but sometimes, my biggest problem was in deciding exactly WHAT to do.
I was introduced to Etsy as a new mom and was immediately obsessed. During my constant browsing, I discovered shops offering wedding maps with custom venue illustrations. A lightbulb went off, and I decided to start my own Etsy shop and do it myself. To me, it was the perfect combination: I got to scratch that creative itch by drawing, but someone else was giving me the specifics of what to draw. Around that time, I started to offer envelope addressing, since I always loved lettering, too. The jobs started rolling in, and I began to have requests for hand-written wedding invitations. I fell in love with the entire process, from connecting with the couple to designing an original, personalized invitation suite just for them, and that continues to be my passion.
When I’m not in my studio sketching and playing with my watercolors, you can find me buying new plants for the yard, debating our next meal, or watching Peppa Pig.
Services I Offer:
Business Consulting and Coaching
After graduating from college with a degree in Mass Communications, I took a job in public relations for a tournament fishing organization. While I enjoyed some areas of my job, it felt life sucking at the same time, and I dreamed of days on my own schedule and getting paid to do something I love.
Fast forward four years; my “hobby business” quickly grew into a full-time job within the first year. I get to stay at home with my family, my work is done on a schedule that makes sense for me, and most importantly, I’m working a job I’m passionate
about using my natural talents.
I love sharing my story and helping other creatives develop and grow their own business. It’s entirely possible to start a side hustle that evolves into your full-time job. I’ve done countless hours of research and made plenty of mistakes along the way, and I’m so ready to share all that information with you!
I’m excited to now offer business coaching and consulting! I love sharing information with others about how to build their creative business. I’d love to help you grow your passion into a full-time gig. Do you need help starting up or revamping your Etsy shop? Do you need help refining your brand for your big launch? Do you have a creative business that needs a refresh?
