Since I was a little girl, I have loved art, drawing pictures nearly every single day. I also spent a good portion of my PR classes in college hand lettering and doodling all over my planner and notes. My brain has always craved a creative outlet, but sometimes, my biggest problem was in deciding exactly WHAT to do.
I was introduced to Etsy as a new mom and was immediately obsessed. During my constant browsing, I discovered shops offering wedding maps with custom venue illustrations. A lightbulb went off, and I decided to start my own Etsy shop and do it myself. To me, it was the perfect combination: I got to scratch that creative itch by drawing, but someone else was giving me the specifics of what to draw. Around that time, I started to offer envelope addressing, since I always loved lettering, too. The jobs started rolling in, and I began to have requests for hand-written wedding invitations. I fell in love with the entire process, from connecting with the couple to designing an original, personalized invitation suite just for them, and that continues to be my passion.
When I’m not in my studio sketching and playing with my watercolors, you can find me buying new plants for the yard, debating our next meal, or watching Peppa Pig.
