Rug Roundup #1
The first Rug Roundup – budget stylish area rugs is falling on Labor Day weekend, so that means Labor Day sales!! Each rug will include two prices–the typical sale price and the deeper discount Labor Day sale price. Labor Day and President’s Day are always big for rug sales, so if you can wait for that, you’ll get an even better deal.
I’m including 8×10 area rugs in this Roundup. These are all rugs that would look great in a large scale, and 8×10 is what I usually buy for my spaces. Most of these are available in all sorts of sizes. Just keep in mind that larger sizes will be proportionally more expensive and smaller sizes will be less.
Rug #1: Tribal Moroccan Tassel Rug
The Tribal Moroccan Tassel Rug from RugsUSA is the area rug I’ve been eyeing for months, but has been on backorder. It’s all over Instagram, so you may have seen it before. The longer shag, geometric pattern and adorable tassels really set this rug apart. You can easily find a home for it in your space if you go for things a little boho or modern farmhouse.
Price – $241.85
Labor Day Sale Price – $194.14
Rug #2: Beige Croix Medallion Majesta Area Rug
The Beige Croix Medallion Majesta Area Rug is also available at RugsUSA. It’s a medallion pattern with taupes, blues and coral, which would be perfect to brighten a darker room, while still adding some interesting color. Remember, beige is actually really on-trend right now. It’s not all about grays anymore.
Price – $156.01
Labor Day sale price – $125.23
Rug #3 – Gold Florid Dreams Factoria Area Rug
Another pick from RugsUSA, the Gold Florid Dreams Factoria Area Rug is charming and bright. It looks like sunshine to me. The warm neutrals and bits of blue are a fresh take on neutral

Labor Day Sale Price – $162.48
Rug #4 – Rust Tribal Medallion Edessa Area Rug
I have the Rust Tribal Medallion Edessa Area Rug in my dining room and it is gorgeous. It has some darker blues and browns, but also a good mix of faded areas that make it not too dark. It’s super soft and almost feels like chenille. I have seen it in lot of photos online and it looks good EVERYWHERE! It has lots of small details in the pattern and feels really high-end. The fringe on the edges set this rug apart.
Price – $305.65
Labor Day sale price – $245.25
Rug #5 – Gray Moroccan Trellis Bosporus Area Rug
You may be living in a hole if you haven’t already seen the Gray Moroccan Trellis Bosporus Area Rug. Seriously, though, it is THE BEST. You’d think it would show dirt, but it doesn’t. I had this rug in a high-traffic area of my home for 2 years and it looked almost new. Plus, you could easily spot clean any dirt. It has the ability to instantly brighten a dark room. The modern pattern isn’t so out there, so it fits as comfortably in a traditional home as it does in a more modern environment. I would totally buy this rug again and it is such a great deal. If you’re on the fence about a rug to buy, you cannot go wrong with this one.
Price – $197.19
Labor Day sale price – $165.98
If any of these are on back order or out of stock, check back often. I know a few I’ve had my eye on haven’t always been available.
